Psychotherapist and sound therapist, Tom Kenyon says, to survive, we simply need to change 2 thoughts that don’t serve us:
1. That we’re separate from Earth and can dominate and use her as we please.
2. That we are separate from our divinity.

Action steps you can take right now
1. Calm down. There are many effective inexpensive ways to do this such as EFT.
2. Connect with nature. Go watch Avatar (again).  It’s a beautiful rendition of the shift in thinking each of us must make.
3. Connect with the part of you (your higher self) that is also a part of a greater field of energy (source/God or whatever name works for you.)

Fingerprints and conscious evolution

Knowing what your fingerprints say is the quickest way to:
- transcend the ego
- manage your emotions and therefore your vibrational state
- turn a close relationship into a sacred partnership for spiritual growth
- take ownership for everything that happens because you can see how you are collaborating.
- see how your inner world creates your outer world.

What has this to do with helping humanity evolve?

As Richard Moss says, the greatest service you can do for this planet is learn to manage your own thoughts and
emotions. We are all part of a collective energy field and the more we raise ourselves, the more we raise not only
those around us but also the entire field.

This is why I call this work is your “sacred work” and not “life lesson”.
You are not born flawed, with karmic wounds. Rather, you have taken on a responsibility for the collective whole to
explore/to help humanity evolve around certain themes. These themes are visible in your fingerprints.

What you need to know:

There are no good or bad markers in your hands.
You can use any marker in your hand to empower yourself or to disempower yourself.

What is the story you are telling yourself about yourself and why?

When other people give you a new story, from your hands or any other source, ask yourself:
Does this information empower me or disempower me?
What does it do to my energy?

Do I feel expanded or contracted?
Accept only what expands you.

The trick is not to recognise resistance as blocking you but see it as helping you in some way.
How can you go around it? Or rise above it?

First see resistance for what it is.
The natural knee-jerk byproduct of action. Not a force outside of you.

Every action has an equal and opposite reaction.

More about this?

Think like an airplane.

The faster you go the more resistance you face. Then suddenly whoosh!
You’re airborne. On a totally different plane.

Without facing resistance you can’t get to a higher plane.
Trust that it’s helping you fly rather than holding you back.

Resistance is the soft underbelly of action. You can’t have one without the other.
First it feels like its stopping you. Then its the air under your wings.

As soon as you see resistance as a force outside of you, you’re in danger of stalling.

Why?
Whatever you resist (in thought, word or action) you give your life force to.

But what if your airplane is a lousy design?

You cannot afford to have that thought in take off.
You’ll never know unless you try 100%

If you hesitate half way down the runway you won’t make it.
You’ll crash at the end of the tarmac.
Or you’ll find yourself sitting in a rocker one day wondering “What if…”

So what to do?
First take the plane (or plan) you have right now. Point it into (not with!!) the wind and commit fully.

But what if it crashes?
Learn from it.
Be glad you can finally move on.

Look for a plane you admire that’s already flying
And copy it exactly.
(In other words, find a mentor and positive role model.)

The danger most people make is to look at 20 different models and try to put
all the bests bits of all 20 into one plane. Chances are you’ll have a fabulously strange contraption in the end.

Remember that old classic – Those incredible men and their flying machines?
Some rather crazy inventions got dreamt up.
This is what happens when people dont yet know what works and what doesn’t.

I’ll be putting a new plane in the sky starting September 23rd.
Circle this day in your diary (I originally said 28th but this has changed.)

Will you be on the ground watching or will you be up in the sky flying with me?

Fasten your seatbelts and remember
if you’re facing any resitance right now
it’s there to support you.

You create resistance whenever you take action
and if it’s not the wind under your wings it means only one thing:

You’re facing the wrong way!
You’ve got your tail into the wind not your nose.
(Waiting for God-knows-who to help??)

Turn around and face the resistance full on.
Love it for the opportunity it brings.

And then another and then a whole handful?

Every negative thought you have is a worm eating your delicate flower.

What to do?
Think like a gardener. Be vigilant.
Remove every single negative thought the minute you spot it.

It’s your job
1. To hold a vision
2. To Protect yourself. Your flowering.  And Earth’s
by monitoring and managing your thoughts moment by moment.
Whenever you have a negative thought about yourself or the future, remove it immediately.

What has this to do with palm reading? Palmistry? or even hand analysis?

Only buy into an idea or belief or theory if it supports your highest vision of yourself.

There’s a lot of old, negative information floating around. If you go searching for it, then hammering yourself with it, that’s like going looking for worms to put all over your beautiful flower.

Your hands show you both sides of the tapestry.
They give useful input because
they’re an accurate mirror to help you see behind your back.

Answering questions like:

What are my hidden strengths?
How can I turn disadvantages
into advantages?
Why do we keep hurting each other?
What’s the point anyway?

Know yourself then be yourself.
Your hands can show you how.

Are you killing your family with kindness?

Is the fork a deadly weapon?

I met a manufacturer of insulin recently who said: more people on this planet die each day from overeating than from starvation.

This may sound shocking and unbelievable (my first reaction) but actually its true.
Most illnesses and deaths are self inflicted through misinformation.

The problem is, with so much conflicting information out there, how do we know what’s good and what isn’t?
And, even more confusing: What’s good for one isn’t necessarily good for another! Which is why one should never force children to eat their food. It could well be good for you but toxic for them.

One person's food is another's poison

So how can you tell what’s good for you and what isn’t?

The body knows. You just have to find a way to ask it.
The most effective way I’ve ever come across is “Gansheitliche kinesiology” this is a system developed in
Switzerland that allows the body to choose solutions across a broad range of techniques, but any simple form of tuning into the body and asking should work.

Can hand analysis diagnose illness?
I steer away from health diagnosis. Even though your hands are an accurate mirror of how your body, mind an spirit interact, hand analysis is designed to solve emotional health issues (relationship and life meaning, purpose and career) rather than physical health. Even though all are interrelated.

Many people have made the study of physical health, and how spirit and emotions impact on it, a life work.
For example, Norm Schealy and Carolyn Myss. Follow your inner wisdom to find the right system for you.

Richard Moss says there are three spiritual teachers that we learn from.

One is the body.
Sooner or later this is a teacher we all must meet.

“the body will humiliate every idea you have of yourself” until you see that you are not your body.
More than anything else, the body brings us into the present, which is where we connect with the divine.

If you would like to learn how to manage deep-rooted emotions, that illness stirs up, or vice versa, then hand analysis can help you understand the broader picture. You can manage your emotions very effectively using EFT but then you won’t necessarily understand the dynamics of what keeps triggering you. The combination of the two together is very effective.

The body as a portal
Many spiritual people totally ignore or neglect the body but it’s how we connect with the divine.
A daily practice such as tai chi or yoga or dance helps you do this.

Transcending the body
The person who has made this study his life work is Michael Murphy, author of The Future of the Body.
I find this subject fascinating.

Our health is our most precious possession. Take good care of yours.

I’m posting here my summary notes from the call.  Basically what I see is an awakening to the African concept of “Ubuntu” (a human is only a human because of other humans). I’ll explain what this has to do with your hands and more specifically your fingerprints at the end of the post.
(It was 4am in the morning here so forgive me if there are massive gaps in the info. zzzzzz ; )

Here’s a brief summary of what was said on the call:

1. Every tradition has its own wisdom.
If we string these pearls together, could we get something beyond this?

2. What’s the next step? Might it be true that this generation is the first where the stringing together of this
string of pearls is possible?
As never before, it is now possible to come directly into contact with the living expression of the tradition (text) and with living masters (teachers) of each tradition.

3. This is an urgent invitation to everyone to participate. Its more necessary than ever before.
Classical religion, thru various challenges, has lost its power to form a home for 10s of millions of people.
Secularization of society occurs when millions of people are unable to find their home in their native traditions. The result is they are left without oars to steer the lifeboat to shore.

We now need a world spirituality that transends native tradition.

4. transend = end the trance that religions traditionally held over their followers.
Virtually every great tradition before felt That its way was the only way. It was exclusive. We now need to move beyond this. The idea that one way is the only way to get there is known as “the scandal of particularity” and is a violation of the essential oneness of spirit.

The Center for World Spirituality invites you to explore this possibility with great thinkers of our era from all
traditions.

How?

Bring obligation back into your life.
Obligation is created when there is an authentic need
I recognise this need
I recognise that I am ony one who can fulfil it

The world needs our goodness.
We need to shift from doing what I choose, to doing what I must do.
This requires an awakening of the heart.

If you move beyond egocentric and ethnocentric obligation
you realise the world needs you.

It’s time to:
wake up into the “we am”
live into the revelation
live as if it were true.
To help form a divinity that is only love
This is an individual and a group commitment
in communion of doing a good thing.

Spirit is on the move
This is an invitation to you to
do the little things that need to be done.

What can you do?
realise there is something empty about living for our own pleasure
Its empty not to have that obligation.
an expanding of the circle of caring
and expanding of the definition of “your people”.

You are living not only for yourself but also for the sake of the whole.
If you open your heart it effects the whole.

My comments on this call:

The concept of broader “family of humanity” and social obligation to one’s family is Africa’s gift to world
philosophy and is called “Ubuntu”. The shadow side of “Ubuntu” is codependency. ( I once wrote an amusing story about this related to my own family and growing up in Africa. I wrote the story about my father because I was trying to understand his life through his fingerprints. This was posted on gaia/zaadz.com which was shut down 1 may 2010. I will re-post all my important work, previously on gaia as articles. )

What has this to do with your hands?
I have 2 comments to make here. One general and one specifc.

1. General: Your fingerprints show exactly what your work is for “the larger humanity” because they show you exactly how to transcend your ego. What pushes your buttons and how to manage your emotions around this topic.

This was figured out by Richard Unger over 30 years ago but the world wasn’t ready to hear his message.
Richard Unger calls this work your  “exalted life lesson”.
I prefer to call this your “sacred work” because it gives you specific instructions how to transcend your particular ego and how you are doing this not just for yourself but also for humanity in general.

Unfortunately this part of Richard Unger’s work was left out of his book ‘LifePrints’. Probably because he didn’t want to muddy the water. His student Ronelle Coburn author of “Destiny at your fingertips” also unfortunately leaves it out of her book. So does another very famous student of Richard’s called Baeth Davis. Baeth has done a lot to popularise Unger’s work online through the use of teleclasses and clever affiliate marketing. Baeth targets healers trying to get their businesses running or people hoping to make money online.

I talk differently to people about the same topic because more and more people are moving beyond the ego or are in the second half of life when one is trying to dismantle the ego rather than build it up.

2. A specific comment related to Ubuntu: There is a soul group, to which both my father and I belong, that Unger calls “school of Service.” These people already serve the greater good but to the point of doing so at their own expense. It is their task in life to learn to put the oxygen mask on themselves first before trying to help the entire aeroplane. find balance in service. Telling these people to shoulder the burden of obligation may not be in their best unless they understand that their obligation is to become conscious/not lose energy when they catch themselves over-serving.

Knowing what your fingerprints say is the quickest way to:
- transcend the ego
- manage your emotions and therefore your vibrational state
- use a relationship as a sacred partnership for spiritual growth

This affectes the collective. This is why this work is your “sacred work” and not “life lesson”.

Why?

The  farmers have come out of hibernation and are spraying the stuff at us from all angles. Even though, only the other day, we were all given heaps of high quality fertilizer from Iceland. Absolutely free, without even lifting a finger.

I think its called obligatory abundance.

Actually they let the cows back out to play on the same day aeroplanes were allowed back in the skies above. So, after 6 glorious days of silence, suddenly the sounds we normally take for granted all arrived back on our doorstep in one jangled tangle.

And run out into the street naked, like Archimedes, shouting ‘Eyjafjallajokull. Eyjafjallajokull.’

So what does Eyjafjallajokull have to do with re-dreaming your life?

And what does it mean anyway?

Eyjafjallajokull means no man is an island

It sounds a bit like ‘Eye-a-all-full-a-your-coal’

and that’s basically what it means.

Eyjafjallajokull is a wakeup call from Mother nature.

Not a war cry but a tiny burp. A polite hiccup. Just enough to shatter our rose-tinted illusions.

Of what?

Our illusion that we are separate islands.

Our illusion that we are in control

Our illusion of permanence. that things will and ought to stay the same.

Our illusion that we are not of this world or in it.

Eyjafjallajokull means embrace the paradox:

We are separate and one at the same time.

We’re in charge and we’re not.

Change is what this planet is all about.

Expect the unexpected.

Earth is evolving and taking us with her.

We’re becoming more sensitive to our connectedness.

Our thoughts influence our emotions and our emotions influence the entire collective field.

It’s your and my responsibility not to contaminate the collective field.

Or as Richard Moss puts it: “The most basic form of service you can do is take responsibility for your own mind.”

That may sound very well in theory but how about some practical tools?

How do we deal with negative feelings?

Here’s some of the best advice offered:

1. Guy Finely: Just don’t go there!

2. Use EFT tapping

3. USe Byron katie’s 4 questions.

4. Use Gratitude as a simple and effective tool. Richard Moss: Every negative thought (jealousy, anger, aggression, fear) is a measure of our distance away from the present. Gratitude is a way of coming back into now. Feel gratitude even though you don’t know why. Moss says, we can’t escape feeling fear and we’re not meant to. But we can choose not to make fear-driven choices.

5. Here’s a practicle from David Richo called “the two handed practice”:

“I can hold my fear in one hand and my commitment to no longer act in a fear-based way in the other”. Actually you can use this technique in any conflicting situation. Holding cupped hands out, palms upward. I hold my problem in the one hand and my power to work with it in the other. I hold my unloved situation and all the pain of it in the one hand and breathe into it and in the other my ability to rise above it.

You can do this with any marker in your hand. The positive and negative sides of what I call your inner friends. You hold the light side in one hand and the shadow in the other. Knowing you can always choose.

(Zen master Genpo Roshi uses a similar technique. Acknowledging and then synthesizing opposites. So does my hand analysis teacher, Richard Unger, which he calls the Goldilocks principle: Too much, too little , just right.

The” just right” state of any quality is what I call an “Inner Friend”. The too much or too little states ar your inner enemies.
