These interviews took place in 2008.
The original plan was to interview all leading hand readers at that time across numerous systems of thought.
I subsequently changed my mind and decided to focus primarily on Richard Unger’s work. This turned into a 6 year project where I interviewed Richard weekly for students around the world in Earth School. The objective was to record his thinking for posterity and to create a searchable library for professional hand analysts. You can access this material here.

Jena interviews Birla on hands and Spirituality

Birla’s system is different to Richard Unger’s. They intersect in that both see hands as a path towards accessing one’s higher self/divinity. Both recognise that hands change as thoughts change. Both recognise that hands reveal the interface between body mind and spirit.
After Birla I also interviewed a few previous students of Richard Unger who have built slightly different models based on early versions of Richard’s system.

After the interview with Birla I decided it was not my path to compare the various systems out there.

I stick to Richard’s system because the Life Purpose model he has developed resonates with me. It is a powerful tool for self growth and that is my focus. After 15 years of training in Richard’s system directly under Richard’s personal supervision. (Yearlong certification (level 1, 2 and 3), then Advanced yearlong certification then Master certification. From October 2010 to December 2016 I interviewed him weekly, 1 and a half hours per week, in over 360 hours of recorded material. A lot of this material is new, particularly the advanced hand shapes.
